As of May 12, 2026, the MSU Sexual Assault Healthcare Program (SAHP) is available between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
Our commitment to survivors remains unwavering, and we are working toward restoring 24/7 services as funding and staffing allow.
Services are free and available to adults who have experienced sexual assault within the past five days.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners conduct a specialized examination that may include:
- Collection of medical forensic histories
- A physical examination
- Treatment for injury
- Emergency contraception, preventative treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Recommendations for follow-up care
- If a patient agrees, forensic evidence is also collected through the use of a sexual assault evidence kit (commonly referred to as a rape kit)
- Advocates from the Center for Survivors will be available to support the patient and assist with connecting them to resources and supportive services.
