Survivor Advocacy & Crisis Intervention (SACI)

Formally known as the Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention team. MSU students, alumni, faculty/staff, and community members are eligible to volunteer with the SACI team.

SACI advocates must complete the comprehensive 40-hour training before providing crisis intervention services.

Requirements to Volunteer

  1. Complete volunteer application and volunteer interview.
  2. Agree to a criminal background check (ICHAT), a federal sex offender registry search, a Michigan sex offender registry search, a MDHHS Clearance, and a MSU conduct check if applicable.
  3. Complete 40-hour Survivor Advocacy & Crisis Intervention (SACI) volunteer training.
  4. Attend weekly SACI volunteer meetings on Mondays at 6pm and in case of conflict by appointment with the Volunteer Coordinator.
  5. Sign up for two service shifts a month.
  6. Must be available for a one year commitment.
