The Center for Survivors is proud to offer a variety of groups and workshops as a way to hold space for survivors, gather in community, and explore healing. Please see below for more information about our current groups and workshops.

Community Connect
Mondays, 4:30- 5:30pm | Starting Jan. 26th
  • An in-person, weekly support group focused on building community and fostering connections with fellow survivors. Conversation will be focused on the needs and interests of group members with topics prepared as needed.

Together We(ight) Lift: Trauma Informed Weight Lifting

Tuesdays, 2-3pm | Starting May 26th
  • Together We(ight) Lift group is a 6-week series intended to help people connect with movement, their body and community. No experience is required. Trauma informed movement is about going at your own pace and what feels right for you, so you get to set your own challenge level
  • Open to all MSU adult survivors and co-survivors.

Healing Through Yoga

Tuesdays, 3-4pm | Starting February 3
  • A virtual, trauma informed yoga practice centered around healing and wellness. Open to students, staff, faculty and community members. All levels of practice welcome.

Ear Acupuncture

Thursdays, 2-3pm | 5/28-8/20

  • Ear acupuncture is a nonverbal approach to healing that involves gentle placement of five small, sterilized, disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. The recipient sits quietly for 30-45 minutes allowing the treatment to take effect. Benefits of ear acupuncture include: Reduced cravings for alcohol and drugs, minimized withdrawal symptoms, increased calm, better sleep, relief from stress and emotional trauma, an easier connection with therapy, and a discovery of inner quiet and strength.
