The Michigan State University Sexual Assault Response Team is a:
Multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to provide a trauma-informed, victim centered and offender focused response to sexual assault impacting the MSU community.
When our SART stakeholders utilize best practices, we can improve survivors’ experience in seeking help and keep the community safer by exhausting all reasonable efforts to identify and hold perpetrators accountable.
We are committed to a coordinated direct service response making the advocacy, criminal justice, academic institution, and health care systems more accessible and responsive to survivors and thus prioritizing healing and justice.
The MSU Campus SART is made up of a multidisciplinary team that serves sexual assault survivors in and around the MSU community.
The MSU Campus SART is honored to provide a trauma informed interview room located within Center for Survivors to survivors who may be reporting their experience to Law Enforcement or University Title IX Investigators. This space is available to any adult survivor reporting relationship violence, stalking, or sexual violence. The survivor does not need to be affiliated to Michigan State University.
